Have you organised your Jubilee flower display for the end of May?Trowbridge in Jubilee Bloom is an initiative encouraging local businesses and organisations to display colourful planters, window boxes and eye-catching Jubilee-themed floral creations in their windows from the end of May to September, to bring a festive, floral outlook to Trowbridge town centre and surrounding areas. Please let us know if you will be taking part so we can add you to the website, social media and PR. (NB. Please use peat-free compost, perennials and non-plastic containers where possible). Permissions – To display planters outside your premises please email info@trowbridgechamber.com ASAP so we can coordinate pavement display permissions with Wiltshire Council Highways. Planters will have to leave a minimum of 1.5m pavement clear space for public access and need to be covered by public liability insurance. Upcycling – Dorothy House on Wicker Hill and BB Vintage in Silver Street have a great selection of objects that would make unusual planters and Palmer Garden Centre and The Nursery in Hilperton have a fantastic selection of plants and flowers. Time to get planting! Pictured above – Jennifer Polledri (Chamber Exec Member & former Chair of Trowbridge in Bloom, with Chamber President Ben Pidgeon. Sponsor our Jubilee Lion!
We are looking for co-sponsors for our life-size floral lion sculpture (a smaller version of the one above), which will be displayed in Trowbridge town centre from Jubilee weekend until the Autumn. Lion sponsors will be featured on Leo’s plaque, in PR, on the Chamber website and social media. Many thanks to the Trowbridge Lions Club for their sponsorship. If your business would like to co-sponsor Leo, please email info@trowbridgechamber.com ASAP for details. |
