An Exciting New Cycling Event Coming to Wiltshire in May!  

Over 400 cyclists are expected to take part in the inaugural Tour de Trowbridge cycling event to raise funds for local charities.

The Trowbridge Chamber CIC, in partnership with Trowbridge Town Council, is organising the first Tour de Trowbridge mass participatory cycling event, which is taking place on Sunday 31 May 2026.

The event has been created to bring together cyclists of all experience levels and is expected to attract hundreds of participants.  Riders will follow professionally managed routes through the Wiltshire countryside, ranging from 5 miles to 75 miles, starting and finishing at Trowbridge Park.

The Tour de Trowbridge routes will appeal to experienced and entry level cyclists. The longest route is the 79-mile Grand Tour, a demanding ride for experienced cyclists; the 46-miles Wiltshire Ridge Ride is a scenic intermediate-level route, and the 25-mile Community Loop is suitable for most cycling abilities.  There will also be a shorter 5-mile family route for younger cyclists.

All four routes will follow a staggered start schedule, designed to create a unified finish and a vibrant atmosphere in the Town Park on their return.

REGISTRATION for the Tour de Trowbridge is NOW OPEN.  Places can be booked via the event website.  All cyclists taking part will receive a medal at the end of the day! 

The Tour de Trowbridge is being delivered in partnership with Iconic Cycling Events, which has organised cycle rides for towns and cities across the UK for the last 15 years, including Oxford, Chester, Canterbury and Bath. The Iconic team will oversee marshalling, rider safety, route planning and logistics to deliver a memorable, high-quality experience for cyclists of all abilities.

The Tour de Trowbridge event will promote community, positivity, health and well-being and will be an exciting new addition to the Trowbridge sporting calendar.
