Net Zero – Why it Makes Business Sense

Join the FSB for this breakfast meeting at The Pound Arts Centre on the 24th September, where you will learn about the steps that your business can take to become more energy efficient, leading you towards cost savings and reduced carbon emissions.

At this event, you’ll gain an understanding of:

  • What to consider when improving energy efficiency within your business
  • What are the free, low-cost and bigger investment opportunities
  • What are the benefits of becoming more energy efficient
  • What grants are available to you

We’ll also hear from a representative of Pound Arts and Green Team One.

Pound Arts is a beneficiary of the Target 2030 programme (2021), and they have big plans to continue improving their energy efficiency and sustainable practices. They will share with us their experience of working with Severn Wye, the grant process, and the benefits they have seen following their installed measures.

Green Team One are renewable energy installers with significant experience in the industry. Rob will present the current best practice for solar PV and battery storage, along with the savings and returns that can be made.

Refreshments are provided and there will be the opportunity to network afterwards.

Severn Wye Energy Agency are running several events as part of the ‘Fit for Net Zero’ programme to help inspire and support businesses on their Net Zero journey. During this series we will inform you of what help, and support is available within Wiltshire, providing clarity on the grants process and guidance on how energy efficient decisions can have a positive effect on your business.

More about the programme:

‘Fit for Net Zero’ is open to SMEs operating within Wiltshire Council’s area. On offer are free, detailed energy efficiency surveys, with grants available for installed measures. Examples of funded improvements include, more efficient heating systems, insulation, lighting upgrades and renewable energy installation.
