The Trowbridge Windows on Nature art trail will feature large-scale artwork created by local artists, photographers, designers, businesses and schools displayed in shop windows across Trowbridge on the theme of endangered wildlife and climate change, from World Environment Day on 5th June 2021 to September 2021.
As Britain is hosting the international Climate Change Conference (COP-26) in November and to reflect that over quarter of Britain’s mammal species are at risk of extinction, the Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce is inviting businesses, artists, photographers, designers and creatives living or working in BA14 to display work on the theme of global biodiversity and climate change for this high profile, community event.
Display window artwork will be featured on the Windows on Nature trail maps (printed & digital), the Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce website (new site launched soon), press releases and social media. Plaques in each window will feature the artist’s name, a summary of their work and website address with QR codes linking to further information, plus information about purchasing artwork.
AIM – The aim of this creative community event is to promote local artists and businesses, increase footfall to Trowbridge Town Centre and raise awareness of the threats to the natural world.
CALL TO TROWBRIDGE BUSINESSES & ARTISTS – Local artists are invited to display their work in empty shop windows. In addition to the main artists’ trail, Trowbridge businesses are also encouraged to create eye-catching designs on the theme of endangered wildlife and climate change to display in their shop windows as part of the Windows on Art trail. Participating artists and businesses will be featured on the printed and digital trail maps available from outlets across Trowbridge, as well as in press releases, on the Chamber website and social media.
ARTWORK – There will be a wide range of artwork displayed, from oil paintings of endangered animals, to 3D sculptures, wildlife photographs, street art murals and other fabulously creative works. For further information about size and material specifications or to express your interest in taking part, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
EVENT SPONSORSHIP – Businesses are also invited to sponsor the artists’ window displays or to become overall event sponsors. For further details about sponsorship opportunities from £295 or for media enquiries, please email email@example.com or phone 07720 880088.
LAUNCH – We aim to have a launch event for the trail in June (subject to Covid restrictions) and a post-trail Chamber of Commerce event featuring the artists and artwork later in the year. Further details to follow..
