SUMMARY:ROOSTER TALKS: A Journey to Sustainable Farming with Richard Phelps
DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Glove Factory in Holt to hear about Richard Richard is the founder and Managing Director of Blade Farming which is part of the ABP Food Group\, the UK’s largest red meat food processor. \nRichard grew up in the neighbour-village to Glove Factory Studios\, Broughton Gifford\, Wiltshire and worked his way around local dairy farms in the area. His passion for farming led him on a journey to understanding how beef and dairy farming could change without compromising quality and sustainability of beef and dairy produce. \nRichard will share some of his thoughts from finding more water-efficient ways of feeding livestock\, to substituting seaweed in cattle feed\, to better understanding of supply chains\, to adopting better pasture management; ultimately shedding an important light on how regenerative farming is the answer to a more sustainable food sector. \nRichard will take us on a journey of how he developed Blade Farming\, some of the challenges he faced\, and how beef farming can be more sustainable in the future. \nThere will be an opportunity for questions and discussion at the end of the presentation. \nYou are invited to enjoy light bites from a welcoming breakfast platter\, teas\, and coffees on arrival. \nThis is a free event however we strongly recommend you reserve your seat. \nBOOK YOUR FREE TICKETS HERE
