DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee\, Trowbridge businesses are displaying colourful planters\, window boxes and floral creations from May to September\, to bring a festive\, floral outlook to Trowbridge town centre and surrounding areas. \nTrowbridge Jubilee in Bloom is being organised by Chamber member and former Trowbridge in Bloom Chair Jennifer Polledri. The best business displays will be featured on the Chamber website and social media. \nThis photo features Leo the Jubilee Lion\, which is in pride of place in front of Parade House on Wicker Hill\, with the Mayor of Trowbridge\, Cllr Graham Hill\, with sponsors Carey and Simon Tesler and Tom Porter (L). \nSome other displays can be seen in the photos below. \n \n

SUMMARY:Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce - Evening Canal Cruise
DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Chamber members for a scenic early evening cruise from Bradford on Avon to the stunning Avoncliff aquaduct from 6pm-8.30pm on Thursday 16th June. \nUp to 40 Chamber members and guests are invited to enjoy a 2.5 hour cruise on the 65ft Barbara McLellan\, along the historic Kennet and Avon canal. \nDeparting from the Canal Trust Cafe in Bradford on Avon\, we will enter the Bradford Lock and descend 3 metres to the lower canal and then onwards to the Grade II listed Avoncliff Aqueduct\, designed by John Rennie. \nSubject to the weather and mooring space availability\, we will have the opportunity to walk over the majestic aqueduct above the River Avon\, before returning to Bradford on Avon. \nSpot kingfishers\, herons\, ducks\, swans\, moorhens and other wildlife along the way\, whilst enjoying drinks from the bar and on-board nibbles. \nMeeting Point: The Barbara McLellan is moored by Bradford Lock\, in front of the Canal Trust Cafe\, BA15 1LE\, just off the Frome Road (B3109).
