SUMMARY:Trowbridge Apple Festival
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Trowbridge Apple Festival is taking place in Emmanuel’s Yard\, Church Street\, using the indoor and outdoor spaces. The event will take place on Saturday October 2 from 11am until 3pm. It is free for the public to attend. \nWe will have a range of stalls and activities and short talks during the event and lots of fun\, games and craft activities – most of which will be apple-inspired! \n\nLast year’s festival was virtual\, with the public asked to take part by sharing videos and pictures of their apple trees and results of their cooking exploits using apples\, but this year’s is in person! \nMel Jacob\, of The BIG Community Grow\, said: “The Trowbridge Apple Festival started in March 2012 and is organised by registered charity The BIG Community Grow. The aim of the festival is to celebrate outdoor living\, sustainability and growing and cooking food – we are keen to highlight traditional methods as well as environmentally friendly approaches. We offer a range of activities from apple tasting and juice pressing\, traditional games crafts alongside stalls selling their goods and services or promoting community groups. \n“We are looking for stall holders who would like to take part and fit with our approach – we particularly encourage stalls with an interactive approach – demonstrations\, tastings etc. We would also like to invite stallholders to do a short talk (about 20 minutes) about their activities or to do a demonstration where appropriate. \n“There is no charge for a stand but we do ask for a donation of a raffle prize – our event is funded purely by grants and donations and we will have a draw on the day to raise some funds towards our costs.” \nIf you are interested and would like more information please get in touch by emailing meljacob@bigcommunitygrow.org or telephone 07745 898902.

SUMMARY:Trowbridge Craft and Gift Market
DESCRIPTION:Mynt Image are delighted to be able to offer this wonderful new venue into our list of prestigious event venues in 2021. Working alongside the Trust who own this building\, we are looking forward to establishing ourselves as part of the community of Trowbidge. \nTrowbridge is the county town of Wiltshire\, England\, on the River Biss in the west of the county\, 8 miles south east of Bath\, Somerset. The town is also 31 miles south west of Swindon and 20 miles south east of Bristol. TROWBRIDGE has been rated in the top 10 for best up-and-coming places to live in the UK. Can you really think of a much better place for a NEW Mynt Image market? \nLocated in the old part of central Trowbridge\, the Town Hall is in an enviable position at the end of a picturesque pedestrianised area with a wealth of coffee shops and specialised retail outlets. The imposing old Victorian Town Hall can not be missed as it towers over the surrounding area. Being next to the main bus and coach drop off point will also greatly add to what we believe will already be a considerable footfall. Trowbridge Town Hall was opened in 1889 for “the benefit of the residents of the town for ever” and we are glad to be able to become part of this. \nThe ground floor area of the Town Hall is permanently open to the public\, attracting hundreds of visitors each day. The foyer area already houses the ‘Free Range Café’ a ‘Deli’ and two independent shops as well as town’s first zero waste shop\, and an art and book shop. Mynt Image will be utilising one of the large down stairs rooms as well as two of the larger 1st floor rooms\, which are easily accessed by a wonderful sweeping staircase. \nDuring the COVID 19 situation\, we will be operating a one way system throughout the building to ensure the safety of both stall holders and customers. Hygiene stations will be prevalent and face masks/visors will be compulsory. This venue gives plenty of room for social distancing measures and with the clear signage we provide\, this venue should provide a safe environment for our events\, in line with the excellent comments we have already been receiving from other venues. \nMost stall spaces are on the 1st floor. A limited number of spaces are available on the ground floor costing slightly more than those on the 1st floor. STALLHOLDERS MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN TABLES.
