DESCRIPTION:Trowbridge Town Council is proud to be hosting the spectacular Trowbridge Christmas Lantern Parade again in 2022 and this year we hope to make the event bigger and brighter than ever! \nThis year the Trowbridge Lantern Parade and Christmas Lights Switch-on will be taking place on Friday 18th of November. \nThe evening will start with music in Fore Street at 4pm\, followed by the Lantern Parade at 6pm and Christmas lights switch on at 7pm to mark the start of Trowbridge’s festive season! \nThere will also be street food\, a Christmas markets in The Civic and a special Weavers Christmas Market  at the Town Hall/Emmanuel’s Yard from 4pm-9pm. \nThe Lantern Parade will feature hundreds of beautiful\, colourful\, handcrafted willow lanterns paraded through the town centre led by a lively and colourful samba band!  Bringing a carnival feel to proceedings\, the Lantern Parade will bring together the community of Trowbridge to share in the magic of Christmas and spread light throughout the town! \nPlease note that from 6pm-7pm\, Silver St\, Park Road\, Market St & Fore St will be closed to traffic. \n      \n\n

DESCRIPTION:We are really excited to announce the return of our West of England Festival of Textiles (WEFT) from June – October 2022\, co-curated with Carolyn Griffiths\, author of ‘Woad To This & The Cloth Trade of Frome’. \nThe WEFT is a biennial exhibition celebrating all textile forms\, and although our Museum focuses on Trowbridge’s fantastic weaving heritage\, WEFT presents and exhibits all textile forms created in the West of England. \nThis year the theme for WEFT explores sustainability in textile arts and crafting to highlight the greener approach many textile artists and creatives are taking. DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Chamber members for a scenic early evening cruise from Bradford on Avon to the stunning Avoncliff aquaduct from 6pm-8.30pm on Thursday 16th June. \nUp to 40 Chamber members and guests are invited to enjoy a 2.5 hour cruise on the 65ft Barbara McLellan\, along the historic Kennet and Avon canal. \nDeparting from the Canal Trust Cafe in Bradford on Avon\, we will enter the Bradford Lock and descend 3 metres to the lower canal and then onwards to the Grade II listed Avoncliff Aqueduct\, designed by John Rennie. \nSubject to the weather and mooring space availability\, we will have the opportunity to walk over the majestic aqueduct above the River Avon\, before returning to Bradford on Avon. \nSpot kingfishers\, herons\, ducks\, swans\, moorhens and other wildlife along the way\, whilst enjoying drinks from the bar and on-board nibbles. \nMeeting Point: The Barbara McLellan is moored by Bradford Lock\, in front of the Canal Trust Cafe\, BA15 1LE\, just off the Frome Road (B3109).
