DESCRIPTION:11 January 2023 @ 9:30 am – 4:30 pm\n\nAre you a small business owner who needs the full 6 hour accredited emergency first aid at work certificate to fulfill your service to your clients? Or would you just like to increase your knowledge of basic first aid\, as you never know when you may need it? \nClick here to see the full course description but the main thing I aim to give you on this 6 hour course is the confidence to step forward and help if needed.  The course mixes theoretical and practical learning and assessment\, and the accredited certificate lasts for three years. \nThis 6-hour course is the entry level for occupational First Aid where an organisation’s risk assessment requires emergency First Aiders. It gives participants the skills and knowledge to provide the initial treatment to any adult casualties in their workplace in a prompt\, safe and effective manner. \nThe course mixes theoretical and practical learning and assessment\, and the regulated certificate lasts for three years. All courses can be tailored to the audience e.g. INSET for teachers or EFAW for personal trainers working outside. \nIt also forms day 1 of the 3-day First Aid at Work qualification\, so we can add 2 extra days if your organisation’s risk assessment requires the higher level. \nTopics include:\n\nDefinition and principles of First Aid\nIncident management\nUnconscious casualties and the safe airway position\nChoking\nBleeding and shock\nAnaphylaxis\nCPR and defibrillator awareness\nMinor injuries\nBurns\nSeizures\nResponsibilities and reporting\n\nCost:\n£75 per person including a manual and regulated certificate valid for 3 years (min. 6 and max. 12 participants). 10% discount offered for 4 or more bookings on the same or consecutive public courses\, booked at the same time.
