DESCRIPTION:We are really excited to announce the return of our West of England Festival of Textiles (WEFT) from June – October 2022\, co-curated with Carolyn Griffiths\, author of ‘Woad To This & The Cloth Trade of Frome’. \nThe WEFT is a biennial exhibition celebrating all textile forms\, and although our Museum focuses on Trowbridge’s fantastic weaving heritage\, WEFT presents and exhibits all textile forms created in the West of England. \nThis year the theme for WEFT explores sustainability in textile arts and crafting to highlight the greener approach many textile artists and creatives are taking. With this in mind we pose the question\, ‘Where do we start\, where do we finish?’ to illustrate the cyclical nature of sustainability. \nWEFT runs from 18th June to 29th October. \n10:00-16:00 Mon-Fri\n10:00-16:30 Sat\nFREE ADMISSION\nTrowbridge Museum is situated in the Shires Shopping Centre\, on the 2nd floor of Home Mills. It gives participants the skills and knowledge to provide the initial treatment to any adult casualties in their workplace in a prompt\, safe and effective manner. \nThe course mixes theoretical and practical learning and assessment\, and the regulated certificate lasts for three years. DESCRIPTION:Three of our most creative Trowbridge Chamber members have invited fellow members and guests to a private view and open studios at the picturesque Tithebarn Workshops and garden in Bradford on Avon from 1730-1930 on Monday 17th April. \nJoin us at this artistic networking event and see Felix Byrne’s unique guitars\, Mary Petrovska at the potter’s wheel and Jacqueline Byrne painting her wildlife and pet portraits.  Browse their wonderful artwork over a glass or two of wine and nibbles served in the Tithebarn Workshop garden. \nFor more information about Felix\, Mary and Jacqueline’s work please see below and the Tithebarn Workshop website.  NB.
