Trowbridge Chamber Launch a great success

CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP LAUNCH

The launch of the new Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce at the historic Emmanuel’s Yard on Wednesday evening was a great success, attended by new and prospective members  as well as Windows on Nature art trail sponsors and artists and Trowbridge and Wiltshire councillors.

The Chamber has launched a new website and is inviting local and regional businesses to become members.  Benefits include regular networking events, promotion on the Chamber website and social media, signposting to grants, support and local business opportunities.

Although it was probably the hottest day of the year with temperatures over 30C, guests soon discovered their trail maps also doubled up as a useful fan and chilled bubbly, wine, beer from Kettlesmith in Bradford on Avon also helped..

We enjoyed delicious nibbles from Trowbridge caterers Miranda’s Coffee Shop, The Pantry and Henley’s Cake Company and Halina from D-Lash Beauty Salon very kindly managed the bar, all accompanied by live music from Wiltshire guitarist Bruce Treasure.

Chamber President Kez Garner and Treasurer Andy Barlow welcomed guests and Events and Marketing Manager Megan Witty outlined forthcoming member events.  She thanked the Windows on Nature trail artists for their wonderful work as well as Wiltshire Council Trowbridge Area Board for the grant that enabled the project.

Wiltshire and Trowbridge Town councillor Stewart Palmen spoke about the success of the art trail and encouraged businesses to join the Chamber to create new links and partnerships and promote Trowbridge as a great place to live and work.

As a hint of a cool breeze was discovered outside, guests headed into the Emmanuel’s Yard front garden with their nibbles and fans and continued socialising in the sunshine.

It was a lovely evening with a great atmosphere and was for many the first actual in-person event for some time.

We look forward to welcoming new and existing members to our next event at Trowbridge Cricket Club on Monday 16th August.  Please see the Events Page for further details.

To become a Chamber member, please visit the Membership page of the website.  Your application details will automatically create your member profile on the Members Directory page.
